Groups are a fantastic way to improve your skills and have fun while learning the violin! All the programs offered in the city help a student become more confident with their instrument providing concerts for a young performer around the city for sometimes hundreds of people. It is always advised that a student be in at least one extracurricular with their insturment while taking private lessons. |

The Calgary Fiddlers are a musically gifted group of young people who love to perform and who appeal to audiences of all ages around the world. This exciting ensemble performs a variety of music, ranging from traditional folk fiddling, to country, bluegrass, Celtic, and even big band. Each fiddler has a rigorous training schedule that includes private and group coaching sessions on a weekly basis in addition to performing at over 100 functions in and around the Calgary area each year and touring internationally. |

Since the formation of The Bow Valley Fiddlers in 1991, this highly skilled group of amateur musicians, ranging from 7 to 18 years of age, has entertained hundreds of people in and around the Calgary area. The Bow Valley Fiddlers are a division of The Calgary Fiddlers Association, a non-profit organization whose mandate is the promotion and preservation of all forms of fiddling, with particular emphasis on Canadian styles. |

FiddleMania is a 5 day summer camp were students are taught a wide variety fiddlestyles as well as learning about individual and group performing, learning other insturments, meeting other fiddlers, and be taught by some of the cities best fiddle players! |

The Orchestral Program at the Mount Royal Conservatory provides a quality ensemble experience for young string, wind, brass and percussion players from Calgary and surrounding area. A total of nine orchestras plus various specialized ensembles cater to players interested in classical music and/or jazz. |
